Regional Director in Kenya

Amos Otieno Ahenda is an experienced educator and trainer who has worked with different education- based organizations. A Bachelor of Science graduate of the University of Nairobi, Amos has also taken various courses in education and human capital development. He has great experience in rehabilitation of street children and designing alternative education to disadvantaged youth. He has held various administrative positions in educational institutions, the latest being Deputy Principal and Head of Human Resources Department of Nakuru College of Health Sciences and Management. He left this institution to help found Baobab Branch Educational Programmes, a registered NGO dealing with education and capacity-building programmes for holistic development of various cadres of young people. He currently also works as the Director of Baobab Branch Educational Programmes.

Kennedy Gichaba lives in the town of Ogembo in western Kenya. Here he is kept busy as an accomplished trainer and facilitator who has worked with various NGOs. He is a Bsc Agriculture graduate from the University of Eastern Africa-Baraton. Kennedy has had many training courses in community development and resources mobilization with Abantu for Development (Capacity Building NGO) and CIDA GESP, a Canadian program focused on Gender and Development. He has previously worked as a secondary school teacher, and volunteers as a Board Member/Resource Mobilization Officer for SpanAfrica’s grassroots partner NICO Orphanage. With this, Kennedy currently splits his tim also acting as a Programme Officer with RETEC –Energy, Environment and Technology NGO in Kisii.

Regional Director for Ghana

Mike Owusu Gyimah lives in Kumasi the second city in Ghana. He had his bachelor in social science in 1994 at the University of Ghana. He graduated in 2001 from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with master’s in Arts (industrial management). He worked extensively in Academia as a demonstrator and as an assistant academic coordinator in study abroad programs at both above- mentioned universities. He has also got a vast experience working in non-governmental organizations especially at the child- centered ones. His passion for children’s welfare culminated into co-founding of Light For Children Ghana a child-centered organization.
