Construction Niche
Focuses on assistance in building, repairs, and installations in infrastructure for grassroots and their communities.
Establishment of infrastructure is a critical precursor to development. For grassroots partners, construction projects often require specific skills, manual labour, and funds.
Construction in Africa
Many of our Grassroots Partners find it essential to develop their own infrastructure: buildings, water supplies, electricity, toilets and septic systems. While some utilize traditional mud-style construction, others range from complicated medical and housing facilities.
Volunteering with Construction Projects & Programs
Whether building a hospital in Northern Uganda, or a shower house in Zambia, some Grassroots Partners have need for support in their construction projects. Past construction projects involve research, community education, and efforts for environmental sustainability wherever possible (such as solar electricity).
Construction is a niche that can utilize larger groups of volunteers together. Often fundraising is a consideration.
