One of the things I love most about SPAN is how we are using new technologies to solve an old problem; connecting people on different sides of the world in a meaningful way. (In our case, it means connecting incredible grassroots development organizations with both virtual and hands-on volunteers). But sometimes, nothing compares to connecting in person.

This past weekend the SPAN Executive Board reunited in Loveland, Colorado. It was several days of reminiscing,  good food, bad pool, and hard work. I am incredibly excited by the growth SPAN is experiencing, and our new programs which we will be rolling out in the coming weeks. But more than anything this weekend reminded me of how lucky I am to be working with such fantastic human beings who are so dedicated to SPAN’s mission.
